Keith has a proven track record of achieving high quality scores across his written bid responses, alongside acting as a reviewer and ‘critical friend’ for our clients. Since his career shift to proposal writing in 2016, Keith has developed key writing, editing and reviewing skills alongside in-depth sector knowledge so that he is adaptable to meet all client and bid needs. His project experience includes HS2 Birmingham Interchange station, Surrey County Council’s highways term maintenance contract and Network Rail’s CP6/7 contracts. Keith’s skills have been recognised within the bid writing industry, as the winner of the APMP Writing Excellence Award in 2024.

Courtney is a positive and client-focused strategic bid consultant, with experience in bid managing the end-to-end bid process. Courtney holds a practitioner qualification in Facet5 and uses this knowledge of different personalities to establish effective and balanced teams. She leads teams to produce compelling content, working to tight deadlines and supporting the client while developing their solution. In 2020, Courtney was awarded the APMP Best Newcomer Award, recognising her achievements for her first 12 months in bidding. Projects she has worked on include Docklands Light Railway, National Highways’ Areas 9 and 12 contracts and the Coire Glas hydro pumped storage scheme.

In her role of Professional Head of Bid Writing and Senior Bid Consultant, Lauren supports the development and performance of the bid writing team. She became a Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) in 2025. Lauren brings a strong approach to translating complex, technical solutions into concise, compelling responses. Her experience enables her to effectively manage cross-functional bid teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of high-quality bids. She uses her passion for clear communication and collaboration to drive continuous improvement in the services we offer. In 2024, Lauren was a finalist in the APMP Awards in the Writing Excellence category.

John has over 20 years’ experience in bid management and construction management across the utility, civil engineering, renewables and highways sectors. His engineering background and contractual knowledge has enabled him to fully understand the intricacies required to deliver complex frameworks/projects and incorporate this information into compelling bids. As a strategic bid consultant, he supports EiB’s Ireland operations from the company’s base in Dublin, bringing in-depth experience of the Irish procurement market to support clients with their strategic approach.

James leads our business development activities, fostering strong relationships with clients and understanding the procurement market. With his experience across the public and private sectors, James monitors industry updates and changes to government/local authority pipelines to identify opportunities to support our clients in winning bids. He brings knowledge and enthusiasm to all his client projects, building strong relationships to shape our clients’ ability to retain their current contracts and expand their portfolios into new sectors.

Jemma has extensive experience in writing, editing and proofreading bids across a range of sectors and has the ability to review and challenge technical copy diligently. Jemma works collaboratively with clients, using her combination of exceptional writing and research skills to produce engaging bids tailored to the commissioning client’s requirements. She is a proactive and effective communicator, and her personable, collaborative approach develops successful relationships with our clients.

Alice is a confident and conscientious member of the bid writing team. Her cross-sector experience makes her a flexible, engaged team player. She has extensive experience working for governmental and local authority clients across both highways and professional services tenders, bringing lessons learned and best practice to every new project. Her methodical, analytical approach mixed with her thoughtful, creative writing style cultivates compelling and compliant responses that fulfil all client requirements. She is naturally personable and creates positive client relationships that enrich the bid process.

Annie’s personable approach and strong attention to detail enable her to build trusted client relationships and deliver high-quality, differentiating submissions across sectors including rail, highways, energy, and construction. She has contributed to successful bids for major commissions including the Docklands Light Railway Franchise Agreement, Ørsted’s offshore wind framework, and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Enterprise Asset Management Framework. Annie became an Associate Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) in 2026, reflecting her commitment to professional development. Alongside project work, Annie plays a key role in EiB’s internal communications, producing our monthly newsletter.

Ben is a hard-working and confident member of the bid writing team with a wealth of writing experience within the public sector. His background in the political sphere synthesising and communicating policy, helped to craft his clear and precise writing style. He has a wealth of experience in sectors like housing, health and defence and utilises this knowledge to aid clients in all areas of the bid writing process. He possesses an analytical approach and a competitive attitude, which will assist clients across all sectors in crafting a winning bid.

Charles draws on his established communication, research, writing and editing skills to deliver successful tenders across a range of sectors including highways, rail, energy, and professional services. His open and personable approach enables him to build collaborative relationships with clients from all industries and backgrounds, delivering support and challenge to ensure successful, compelling bid responses. His academic and publishing background give Charles excellent prose skills and a deep understanding of analytical and editorial best practice, enabling him to support our clients’ tenders from draft through review and challenge to final submission.

Lucy is a highly dedicated and motivated writer who strives to go above and beyond for her clients. With a degree in Scots law and experience in the legal sector, Lucy brings these transferrable skills to bid writing, with a keen eye for detail to produce accurate work. Drawing upon the skills she developed during her master’s degree in management and international human resource management, Lucy brings a problem-solving mindset and interpersonal skills to support collaborative working. Lucy brings experience of working closely with clients, building strong relationships and meeting tight deadlines.

Lucy is a highly experienced writer and researcher in a range of areas following the completion of her postgraduate intellectual property & the digital economy LLM. She is focused and attentive, with a confident and personable approach, supporting the development of strong client relationships. With a highly developed ability to assimilate complex concepts, Lucy can extract clarity from complexity and communicate outcomes clearly and effectively.

Poppy is a confident and versatile member of our bid writing team, with a keen eye for detail and excellent writing ability. Her creative and collaborative approach fosters positive client relationships, driving the creation of high-quality responses across all sectors.

She is an Associate Chartered Management Consultant, Facet5 Practitioner and part of our valuable network of Mental Health First Aiders, supporting our team in sustaining healthy working practices.

Successful projects include Next Generation Ticketing in Ireland and Ørsted’s new offshore wind framework.

Rebecca brings a creative and attentive approach to developing bid responses, taking pride in her keen eye for detail. Her background in academia and publishing has  led to her developing outstanding writing and editing skills and she is able to build positive, supportive relationships with clients while developing written responses. Outside of bidding, Rebecca’s work with authors of all backgrounds as an illustrator and book cover designer has developed her excellent team-based communication skills. She is a friendly, resilient team player and leader with excellent proof reading and editing skills.

Sam is a proactive and hard-working member of the bid writing team. His previous studies in English Language and Literature fostered a tenacious work ethic alongside excellent writing and proofreading skills. These skills were further nurtured through a keen focus on qualitative-based language analysis – specifically through a discourse lens, which allowed Sam to draw conclusions from theory work to government sustainability policy language. His personable approach enables Sam to build effective relationships with our clients to achieve winning outcomes.

Shakeel is a skilled communicator with exceptional writing skills. He utilises this, alongside his experience in the industry, to create high-quality, technically proficient tenders and to provide challenge and review to our clients. His strong work ethic has enabled him to support clients in the rail, highways and utilities sectors, meeting strict deadlines while maintaining our high standards of quality. Shakeel has also used his discipline and organisational skills to coordinate large, complex tenders.

Caroline supports the EiB core and trusted consultant team as executive assistant to Scott Brown, EiB’s CEO. She has over 25 years’ experience in this role, providing support to consultants and directors within the executive search and recruitment, leisure and IT industries.

Caroline’s background in customer service, training and sales gives her well-rounded knowledge of business operations, which she uses to support the EiB team.

With a background in aviation, utilities, customer service and e-commerce, Christina is a skilled office manager, working closely with all team members to ensure seamless business operations at EiB.

Her degree in business administration (travel and tourism) and previous administrative work in the UK, Bahrain and India provide Christina with a broad range of international experience, which is translated into her work ethic as a strong communicator, innovative thinker and personable team player.

Saarrah provides administration support to the office management team. She has experience in customer service, administration and digital marketing, applying her skills in time management and problem solving and working effectively in a team. Saarrah also has experience in client-facing roles, having honed her interpersonal and communication skills to support EiB in office administration.

Dawn is an accountant with experience spanning industries including manufacturing, health and insurance and practices. She has supported directors and financial controllers in the production of management reports and accounts, budget setting and variance analysis, and she has strong stakeholder management skills.

Gordon has over 40 years’ experience leading highways maintenance contracts and has worked for major UK engineering consultancies. As operations director, Gordon is focused on building our business in Scotland using his local knowledge, while developing our portfolio of work in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Gordon’s success spans projects such as Transport Scotland’s trunk road network, Edinburgh Trams, Clyde Metro, Irish Water PMO Framework and the £1.6 billion Pagabo Civils and Infrastructure Framework. In 2024, Gordon was a finalist in the APMP Awards for Outstanding Leadership and the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Award for Director of the Year.

Richard is a founding director of EiB with over 35 years’ experience as a consultant, advisor, facilitator and ‘critical friend’. With excellent interpersonal skills, Richard brings knowledge, experience, challenge and enthusiasm to all his projects, resulting in long-term client relationships. He supports UK and European clients tendering for contracts, with particular expertise in collaborative-based and competitive dialogue procurement routes. Richard’s in-depth understanding of procurement, combined with his knowledge of commissioning bodies including local authorities, National Highways, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Transport Scotland, Network Rail and the NHS adds significant value to his clients when tending for multi-million-pound contracts.
