Our work-winning team provided bid management and writing support to help our client secure a place on the AMP7 framework, involving construction and engineering work on water and wastewater networks and treatment plants for Northumbrian Water.
Our client is a leading UK utility infrastructure company, with considerable expertise in sustainability and innovation.
The opportunity
EiB helped a client secure a place on Northumbrian Water’s AMP7 framework. The client undertook construction and engineering work on water and wastewater networks and treatment plans in their operating area. The work included modification and refurbishment of the water and wastewater networks. Our client also had the opportunity to undertake early contractor engagement, design reviews, innovation challenges and continuous improvement forums.
EiB approach and involvement
We seconded a bid director and senior bid manager to the project. In three weeks, they delivered a winning bid by
- providing bid management and writing support
- facilitating answer planning sessions with the client’s subject matter experts to capture content and make sure that all aspects of the tender documents were covered in the submission
- reviewing and challenging all responses throughout the bid to refine and improve the final submission continually.
Success and outcomes
Through constant, professional support throughout the bid process, we helped our client understand what Northumbrian Water was looking for and align their solution accordingly. Highlighting our client’s expertise and ability to provide a solution that is cost-effective was key in winning this bid. Through the efforts of our work winning team, our client successfully secured a place on the AMP7 framework to deliver work as one of eight contractors.
“As part of an integrated team, we worked closely with our client’s subject matter experts to produce a successful tender submission. It was a pleasure to work with our client’s team.”
