The opportunity
Our client secured a place on the seven-year framework to support Irish Water, now known as Uisce Éireann, in delivering high-quality water infrastructure in Ireland, improving customer service and providing value for money. The framework will deliver Irish Water’s capital investment plan up to 2027. This will see a €3.5 billion investment in asset delivery across three primary portfolios: Wastewater Capital, Networks and Water Capital.
EiB approach and involvement
Our work winning director, Richard Roddie, provided strategic guidance and constructive challenge to our client throughout the procurement process. By building a collaborative relationship with our client’s Bid Director and members of the bid team, Richard acted as a sounding board to provide advice on how best to respond effectively to Irish Water’s tender requirements. He undertook comprehensive reviews of the draft question responses, challenging the contents as part of a stage gate review process, and making clear recommendations on how to strengthen and improve them.
Success and outcomes
As a result of the collaborative effort to submit a compelling tender, our client was awarded a place on the framework. For the next seven years, our client will provide Irish Water with technical support on the delivery of its capital investment programme, asset management, planning, procurement and operational needs.
