On Tuesday, 1 November, EiB hosted clients and colleagues from across the UK in its new Birmingham office to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

The bidding consultancy firm was founded in October 1992 by directors Scott Brown and Richard Roddie. Chris Geyton joined as a director in 1994. Over the last 30 years, EiB has grown from strength to strength and now has a team of 35 strategic work winning professionals. During this time, EiB has supported clients to secure many iconic projects in the UK and Europe, working in the highways, rail, health and construction sectors. These include the M25 widening programme, HS1, the Severn Bridges and the HS2 Interchange and Curzon Street stations.

In 2022, EiB opened an office in Edinburgh, with a dedicated team to support procurement and work winning in Scotland. This builds upon the company’s previous work in Scotland, including iconic projects such as the Forth Bridge, Kincardine Bridge and Scottish trunk road network.

EiB’s CEO Scott Brown said: “It’s very exciting to be celebrating our 30-year anniversary and, following the past two years with COVID, to be able to host an in-person event with clients and colleagues. Together with our team of strategic work winning professionals, we are going to continue to grow the business, entering new and exciting sectors, such as renewables, and opening an office in Ireland to serve both the Irish and the European procurement markets.”

Work winning director Richard Roddie commented: “I’m very proud to be one of EiB’s founding directors. At EiB, we are focused on continually developing our people, as we recognise the huge value that they add to our strategic work winning and bid writing services. Our diverse and growing team has been instrumental to our success over the last 30 years, and I’m delighted to be celebrating with them.”
